Bogdan Ivanov

About

Bogdan Ivanov is the founder and CEO of DevKit, an IT staffing company that matches companies in the US and Europe with top AI and software engineers from its own team and private network. Born and raised in Mariupol, Ukraine, he is now based in the EU.

Bogdan started as a web developer in 2014 while studying computer science at the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", where he earned a master's degree. He grew from developer to lead developer and became a CTO at 24, running engineering at an IT services company much like DevKit. At 26 he sold his first company, a solution for mergers and acquisitions in e-commerce.

Before founding DevKit in 2022, he led engineering at international startups in Europe and North America as Head of Mobile, CTO and Technical Lead. That hands-on experience shapes how DevKit works today: every engineer is vetted by people who have built and shipped products themselves.

Bogdan works where AI meets engineering teams. He writes and gives interviews about applied AI, from data-driven decision-making to AI in the automotive industry and drug discovery, and DevKit's AI engineers build LLM features, agents and machine learning systems for clients. His view: "AI/ML technology can provide invaluable insights, but it's essential for business leaders and managers to regularly evaluate the quality and relevance of AI-generated data."

Outside DevKit, Bogdan is an angel investor in several startups, including a foodtech company, advises founders of IT services businesses and mentors engineers and founders. He speaks English, Ukrainian, Polish and Russian, and loves tennis and travel.
